Dacian Crașovan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dumitru Mardarescu having to interfere. Claudiu Comișels short, quick shot in the 7thth minute got Dumitru Mardarescu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of Cyprus Hools booed when Cherba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. George Agulescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Cyprus Hools's goal looked a bit too open when Mihail Pantelimon came free, but Cezar Frențiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cyprus Hools's Cezar Frențiu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolae Secoşan in the 19th minute of play. If Nicolae Secoşan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th match minute, Cyprus Hools was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandru Baldovinescu to maneuver through the defense. Cherba's Mădălin Ivan got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 29 minutes, Dumitru Mardarescu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Cherba's Mihail Pantelimon in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cyprus Hools's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 32 minutes, Dacian Crașovan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cyprus Hools's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dacian Crașovan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dumitru Mardarescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dacian Crașovan in the 34th minute of the match. Claudiu Comișel was extremely unlucky when he, in the 38th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When Dacian Crașovan came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Cyprus Hools fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dacian Crașovan couldn't finish the play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 55thth minute of the game Dacian Crașovan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cherba's Dumitru Mardarescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Dacian Crașovan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicolae Secoşans short, quick shot in the 59thth minute got Cezar Frențiu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Cherba's Nicolae Secoşan got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Mihail Pantelimon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cherba's supporters rose to their feet, but Mihail Pantelimon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cezar Frențiu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Laurențiu Dincă hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iacob Trăilă during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Cyprus Hools booed when Cherba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iacob Trăilă didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dumitru Mardarescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dacian Crașovan in the 86th minute of the match. Mihail Pantelimon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Cezar Frențiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Nicolae Secoşan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Cherba players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Cyprus Hools from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
