Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Romeo Cristian in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gabriel Harnagea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mircea Ciocâlteu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mircea Burtescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of FC BEBI booed when Steaua United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Liviu Chelbea didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, FC BEBI's Ilie Sârbu tried to score from far away in the 22nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. George Brezoi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gabriel Harnagea having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Steaua United's zone, Mircea Burtescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mircea Ciocâlteu came out of the goal and Mircea Burtescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Petru Dijmărescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. George Brezoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Gabriel Harnagea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gabriel Harnagea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romeo Cristian in the 39th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romeo Cristian in the 45th minute of play forced FC BEBI's goalkeeper Gabriel Harnagea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mircea Burtescu couldn't finish the play. George Brezoi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Gabriel Harnagea made a huge save. George Brezoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Gabriel Harnagea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 92 minutes into the game, Rareș Ciolofan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC BEBI's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Steaua United the free kick. In the 92nd match minute, FC BEBI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rareș Ciolofan to maneuver through the defense. The Steaua United players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
