Aristide Ceaușu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aron Bungescu went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Dorel Ştefănescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Aurelian Gheorghe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Hinova AC booed when Ilie CSu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augustin Medrea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hinova AC's Dorel Ştefănescu got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Gheorghe Cercelescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Codruț Bucur charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Codruț Bucur the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Ilie CSu getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Codruț Bucur hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Ilie CSu's Eugen Filipașcu got a free kick in the 26th minute. If Dorel Ştefănescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sergiu Pârvan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Codruț Bucur was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 44 minutes had been played. A collision led to Ilie CSu getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Codruț Bucur hit a great ball. Dorel Ştefănescu came free with the goalkeeper in the 46th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Aurelian Gheorghe could save by the left post. In the 46th minute, Hinova AC's Dorel Ştefănescu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aurelian Gheorghe. Aurelian Gheorghe yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gheorghe Cercelescu made a kick off. When Augustin Medrea fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ilie CSu's protests and gave Augustin Medrea a yellow card for diving instead. In the 55th minute, Augustin Medrea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Dorel Ştefănescu came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Hinova AC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dorel Ştefănescu couldn't finish the play. 70 minutes into the match, Aron Bungescu notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Hinova AC's Aristide Ceaușu. Aristide Ceaușu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Aron Bungescu had several of the Hinova AC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 74 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-3 score and a disappointed Aristide Ceaușu as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 91st match minute, Ilie CSu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augustin Medrea to maneuver through the defense. Aurelian Gheorghe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gheorghe Cercelescu in the 94th minute of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
