After having played for 10 minutes, Alin Baștină managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Plaic's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alin Baștină was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 12th minute Nistor Chirtoacă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petre Homescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nistor Chirtoacă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Petre Homescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16th minute, Alin Baștină ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Petre Homescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Petre Homescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nistor Chirtoacă in the 20th minute of play. Petre Rădescu's late challenge caught a Plaic's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Petre Rădescu helped the player get up and apologised. Hagiesti's defense didn't have a chance, in the 25th minute, when Nistor Chirtoacă scored to the left of an out of position Petre Homescu, making the score, 2-0. Hagiesti's Petre Homescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Hagiesti from getting a goal against them. In the 34th minute Nistor Chirtoacă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petre Homescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Hagiesti's goalkeeper Petre Homescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alin Baștină. Petre Homescu stood somewhat misplaced when Nistor Chirtoacă came free in front of goal and shot 3-0 to the left of him in the 36 minute. Nistor Chirtoacă struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Petre Homescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Plaic. The supporters of Hagiesti booed when Plaic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horia Ciuhandu didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nistor Chirtoacă stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Nistor Chirtoacă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59thth minute of the game Iordache Mărăscu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Plaic's Dacian Deliman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alin Baștină received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Petre Homescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Horia Tăbăcaru kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. After 68 minutes, Nistor Chirtoacă made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Hagiesti's Petre Homescu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 73 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Hagiesti! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alin Baștină in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Petre Homescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Moise Vâlceanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Iordache Mărăscu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Plaic's Alin Baștină got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Petre Homescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nistor Chirtoacă, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Nistor Chirtoacă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petre Homescu having to interfere.
