Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Laurențiu Abutnăriței made the kick off and thus started the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Iustin Macovei managed to get in a good position for a shot. CIP Media's supporters rose to their feet, but Iustin Macovei was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aurelian Gheorghe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aurelian Gheorghe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laurențiu Abutnăriței, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aron Bungescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Aron Bungescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Viorel Senin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergiu Pârvan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marius Dănănae hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Valer Coman was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 24th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 26thth minute of the game Laurențiu Abutnăriței who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ilie CSu's Aurelian Gheorghe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 31 minutes into the match, CIP Media's Laurențiu Abutnăriței sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aurelian Gheorghe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of CIP Media booed when Ilie CSu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augustin Medrea didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute, Iustin Macovei ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aurelian Gheorghe was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Emanuel Loga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute Iustin Macovei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelian Gheorghe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iustin Macovei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Aurelian Gheorghe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ilie CSu's goalkeeper Aurelian Gheorghe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 82nd minute, Dan Barbăsură hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sergiu Pârvan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. In the 88th minute, Ilie CSu's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Iustin Macovei fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 90th minute Laurențiu Abutnăriței shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelian Gheorghe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
