Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dumitru Sbârcea started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Dacian Deliman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augustin Brănet, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Hamagia FC's zone, Nistor Chirtoacă stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiberiu Velicu came out of the goal and Nistor Chirtoacă tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Niculae Darabonț charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Niculae Darabonț the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 12th match minute, Hamagia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niculae Darabonț to maneuver through the defense. When Alin Baștină came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Plaic fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alin Baștină couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Hamagia FC's Tiberiu Velicu got control of the ball when Alin Baștină tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 28th minute, Augustin Brănet left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hamagia FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Hamagia FC's Augustin Brănet got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 39 minutes into the match, Hamagia FC's goalkeeper Tiberiu Velicu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alin Baștină. Alin Baștină fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiberiu Velicu having to interfere. Alin Baștină could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Tiberiu Velicu made a huge save. Dacian Deliman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dumitru Sbârcea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Plaic's Eugen Manu got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alin Baștină to make the kick off. Alin Baștină received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Tiberiu Velicu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Horaţiu Rucăreanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tiberiu Velicu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alin Baștină in the 62nd minute of play. Alin Baștină took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tiberiu Velicu. Tiberiu Velicu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The audience was convinced that Eugen Manu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tiberiu Velicu was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. If Alin Baștină had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eugen Manu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Alin Baștină came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Plaic fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alin Baștină couldn't finish the play. When Plaic's Horaţiu Rucăreanu in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hamagia FC's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugen Manu in the 91st minute of play forced Hamagia FC's goalkeeper Tiberiu Velicu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Hamagia FC's zone, Alin Baștină stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiberiu Velicu came out of the goal and Alin Baștină tried to chip the ball over his head.
