Francisc Ghișerel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Aristide Ceaușu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dinu Meleșcanu's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. The supporters of Andronache booed when Hinova AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mihail Dinu didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Dinu Meleșcanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francisc Ghișerel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gheorghe Cercelescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 25th minute, Octav Şerb ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aristide Ceaușu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Octav Şerb fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aristide Ceaușu having to interfere. Aristide Ceaușu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dinu Meleșcanu in the 31st minute of play. Dorel Ştefănescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Francisc Ghișerel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gheorghe Cercelescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisc Ghișerel having to interfere. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Aristide Ceaușu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dorel Ştefănescu in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Francisc Ghișerel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gheorghe Cercelescu to make the kick off. After some careless play in the Hinova AC defense, Dinu Meleșcanu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aristide Ceaușu. The Hinova AC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aristide Ceaușu should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Hinova AC's Gheorghe Cercelescu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Francisc Ghișerel. That made the score 2-3 after 76 minutes of play. After having played for 82 minutes, Dinu Meleșcanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Andronache's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dinu Meleșcanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Octav Şerb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
