After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Denis Surugiu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cazimir Roşoga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vintilă Siclovan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manuel Zamfira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florin Borogeanu having to interfere. Iosif Frântu kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. In the 21st minute, Cosmin Budianu fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Florin Borogeanu, passed just outside the right post. Manuel Zamfira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Florin Borogeanu made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Denis Surugiu in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cazimir Roşoga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cosmin Budianu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Florin Borogeanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cosmin Budianu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florin Borogeanu having to interfere. A hard shot 35 in the game by Manuel Zamfira from a close distance when the talented Florin Borogeanu managed to make a qualified save. FC Dinamo 1948's players were relieved. Cazimir Roşoga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denis Surugiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. With a little luck, FC Dinamo 1948's Florin Borogeanu got control of the ball when Manuel Zamfira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Florin Borogeanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cosmin Budianu in the 46th minute of play. Cosmin Budianu might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Florin Borogeanu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cosmin Budianu ran back to his position shaking his head. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Denis Surugiu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cazimir Roşoga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vintilă Siclovan in the 54th minute. Leontin Oprișor charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leontin Oprișor the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 57th minute of the game. One of FC Dinamo 1948:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Steaua Mangalia:s goal. The referee gave FC Steaua Mangalia a penalty, 59 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Sandu Bogdănescu, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of FC Dinamo 1948's Florin Borogeanu. 1-0. In the 67th minute of the match Leontin Oprișor sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cazimir Roşoga skillfully saved the ball. FC Steaua Mangalia's Cazimir Roşoga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Surugiu in the 70th minute of play. Vintilă Siclovan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Cazimir Roşoga made a huge save. A collision led to FC Steaua Mangalia getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Tiberiu Ardeleanu hit a great ball. Manuel Zamfira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Florin Borogeanu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. FC Dinamo 1948's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Steaua Mangalia the free kick.
