Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cosmin Budianu kicked off to start the match. With a little luck, FCSB CLUJ's Tudor Martin got control of the ball when Manuel Zamfira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Manuel Zamfira struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. If Alin Turcan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cazimir Roşoga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augustin Ştercă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tudor Martin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiberiu Ardeleanu in the 47th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Augustin Ştercă made a kick off. In the 51st minute Cosmin Budianu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tudor Martin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tudor Martin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiberiu Ardeleanu in the 53rd minute of play. Manuel Zamfira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tudor Martin having to interfere. In the 58th minute Cosmin Budianu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tudor Martin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tudor Martin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Zamfira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of FC Steaua Mangalia booed when FCSB CLUJ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dinu Bejgăneanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. FCSB CLUJ's Tudor Martin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Zamfira in the 73rd minute of play. Moise Lucescu kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Cosmin Budianu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Steaua Mangalia's supporters rose to their feet, but Cosmin Budianu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tudor Martin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Augustin Ştercă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Cazimir Roşoga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 86 minutes, Tiberiu Ardeleanu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Steaua Mangalia and the FCSB CLUJ players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 86th minute, Tiberiu Ardeleanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Zamfira in the 92nd minute of play forced FCSB CLUJ's goalkeeper Tudor Martin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th match minute, FCSB CLUJ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dinu Bejgăneanu to maneuver through the defense. When the final whistle sounded FCSB CLUJ left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Steaua Mangalia.
