Spectators: 7372 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 149) Augustin Ştercă made the kick off and thus started the match. Augustin Ştercă recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, FCSB CLUJ's Calistrat Cârneci got a free kick in the 6th minute. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Valer Tapalagă took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Tudor Martin to make any attempt to save it. A collision led to Lotasi AC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. David Barascu hit a great ball. 15 minutes into the match, FCSB CLUJ's goal looked a bit too open when Mihnea Mereuță came free, but Tudor Martin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Augustin Ştercă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in FCSB CLUJ's zone, Mihnea Mereuță stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tudor Martin came out of the goal and Mihnea Mereuță tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Through an outstanding action, after 24 minutes, Tudor Martin successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Claudiu Agrigoroaiei didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Augustin Ştercă went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Vali Pipirig kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Augustin Ştercă took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Claudiu Agrigoroaiei. Claudiu Agrigoroaiei dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valer Tapalagă in the 42nd minute of play forced FCSB CLUJ's goalkeeper Tudor Martin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Augustin Ştercă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Claudiu Agrigoroaiei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Calistrat Cârneci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half FCSB CLUJ were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Augustin Ştercă was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 58th minute. FCSB CLUJ's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. FCSB CLUJ's Calistrat Cârneci got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 67th match minute, Lotasi AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonard Câmpeanu to maneuver through the defense. Moise Lucescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Claudiu Agrigoroaiei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Moise Lucescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Claudiu Agrigoroaiei read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. The supporters of FCSB CLUJ booed when Lotasi AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonard Câmpeanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tudor Martin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petrică Cârnațiu in the 74th minute of the match. Calistrat Cârneci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudiu Agrigoroaiei having to interfere. A collision led to Lotasi AC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Petrică Cârnațiu hit a great ball. Tudor Martin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mihnea Mereuță went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Augustin Ştercă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Claudiu Agrigoroaiei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Calistrat Cârneci's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Claudiu Agrigoroaiei read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Moise Lucescu hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. 94 minutes into the match, Valer Tapalagă had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tudor Martin. FCSB CLUJ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valer Tapalagă was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2.
