Budieni's Constantin Homescu got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 17 minutes into the game, Iosif Frântu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Dinamo 1948's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Budieni the free kick. A collision led to FC Dinamo 1948 getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Iosif Frântu hit a great ball. Vintilă Siclovan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Denis Surugiu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Dinamo 1948's supporters rose to their feet, but Denis Surugiu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nistor Dobre breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With an all-out effort, FC Dinamo 1948's Nistor Dobre threw himself towards the right post 24 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Denis Surugiu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 26 played minutes FC Dinamo 1948 got a freekick which was hit by Vintilă Siclovan. Denis Surugiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Constantin Homescu made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Budieni's zone, Vintilă Siclovan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nistor Dobre came out of the goal and Vintilă Siclovan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 63 minutes, Constantin Homescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Budieni's supporters crossed their fingers, but Constantin Homescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fabian Mincu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Florin Borogeanu made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Constantin Homescu in the 67th minute of play forced FC Dinamo 1948's goalkeeper Florin Borogeanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Constantin Homescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, FC Dinamo 1948's Florin Borogeanu got control of the ball when Fabian Mincu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nistor Dobre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denis Surugiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. FC Dinamo 1948's Teodor Vulcan suffered a sore thigh after 81 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 81 minutes, Viorel Archiudean mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Budieni and the FC Dinamo 1948 players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Budieni getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vintilă Siclovan in the 83rd minute of play forced Budieni's goalkeeper Nistor Dobre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 84 played minutes Budieni got a freekick which was hit by Viorel Archiudean. When Claudiu Chirea fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Budieni's protests and gave Claudiu Chirea a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Budieni getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Claudiu Chirea hit a great ball. Vintilă Siclovan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Claudiu Chirea hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. After 94 played minutes Budieni got a freekick which was hit by George Geambașu. In the 97th minute of the match, Constantin Homescu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Florin Borogeanu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The Budieni players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
