When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Narcis Ogică sped through Brestea's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Iacob Răduța. In the 20th match minute, Brestea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dan Gheție to maneuver through the defense. Sever Paulescu came out of the goal and Vasile Avram tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Sacaseni CSM booed when Brestea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dan Gheție didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sever Paulescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Laurențiu Boldișor in the 37th minute. Vali Andone hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
