The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Shadowfire's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Eusebiu Scripcaru fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Eusebiu Scripcaru put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Virgil Ionaș. After 8 played minutes UNIREA TRICOLOR got a freekick which was hit by Iacob Chițac. Adam Huștea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudiu Ciuvică in the 9th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, UNIREA TRICOLOR's Eusebiu Scripcaru sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Virgil Ionaș narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Radu Lăceanu hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute, Eusebiu Scripcaru reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Virgil Ionaș. The goal made the score 2-0. Eusebiu Scripcaru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusebiu Scripcaru in the 26th minute of play forced Shadowfire's goalkeeper Virgil Ionaș to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 34 played minutes UNIREA TRICOLOR got a freekick which was hit by Eusebiu Scripcaru. In the 36th minute of the match Emil Trifu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adam Huștea skillfully saved the ball. 37 minutes into the match, UNIREA TRICOLOR's goal looked a bit too open when Radu Lăceanu came free, but Adam Huștea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eusebiu Scripcaru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgil Ionaș having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Claudiu Ciuvică made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Shadowfire's goal looked a bit too open when Eusebiu Scripcaru came free, but Virgil Ionaș reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. UNIREA TRICOLOR's Valer Cartiș got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eusebiu Scripcaru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Virgil Ionaș tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 60 minutes into the game, Valer Cartiș cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Virgil Ionaș was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Valer Cartiș sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 65 minutes into the match, Shadowfire's goal looked a bit too open when Eusebiu Scripcaru came free, but Virgil Ionaș reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Virgil Ionaș made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valer Cartiș in the 70th minute of play. Eusebiu Scripcaru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iacob Chițac struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Virgil Ionaș didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UNIREA TRICOLOR. In the 82nd minute, Valer Cartiș got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 84 minutes into the match, UNIREA TRICOLOR's Eusebiu Scripcaru sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Virgil Ionaș narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eusebiu Scripcaru in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Virgil Ionaș saved Shadowfire from getting behind. Virgil Ionaș showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusebiu Scripcaru in the 90th minute of the match.
