The audience was convinced that Matei Roșeanu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabian Hârciog was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. 14 minutes into the game, Călin Chițac cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matei Roșeanu in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabian Hârciog saved Rugonfalva from getting behind. Matei Roșeanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Petruț Micu hit a great ball. 32 minutes into the game, Rugonfalva's Tiberiu Dobrinescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Florin Răcănel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. gNet FC's Florin Răcănel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Costică Necula in the 36th minute of play. Tiberiu Dobrinescu struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Florin Răcănel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rugonfalva. A collision led to gNet FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Gabriel Bărbulescu hit a great ball. Tiberiu Dobrinescu was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 40th minute. Rugonfalva's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 46 played minutes gNet FC got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Bărbulescu. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Călin Chițac was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Petruț Micu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 55th minute of the match Francisc Găman sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Florin Răcănel skillfully saved the ball. If Matei Roșeanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Calistrat Corlățean fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabian Hârciog having to interfere. Costică Necula received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Florin Răcănel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Florin Răcănel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Costică Necula in the 63rd minute of play. After 65 played minutes gNet FC got a freekick which was hit by David Ionaș. After some careless play in the gNet FC defense, Tiberiu Dobrinescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Florin Răcănel. The gNet FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Florin Răcănel should have stopped the shot. Costică Necula sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Costică Necula had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 78 played minutes Rugonfalva got a freekick which was hit by Francisc Găman. Florin Răcănel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Costică Necula in the 84th minute of the match. Florin Răcănel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Costică Necula, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Florin Răcănel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tiberiu Dobrinescu's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. If Matei Roșeanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Florin Răcănel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiberiu Dobrinescu in the 91st minute of play. Tiberiu Dobrinescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florin Răcănel having to interfere. After having played for 97 minutes, Tiberiu Dobrinescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rugonfalva's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tiberiu Dobrinescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Rugonfalva fans cheered their team off the field, for while gNet FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
