Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Vali Homeag made the kick off which started today's match. In the 6th minute David Manea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mugur Lucescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by George Alexandru in the 7th minute of play forced Verbia CS's goalkeeper Ion Cârstea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute Vali Homeag shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mugur Lucescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mugur Lucescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Manea, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. After 12 played minutes Nevesteasca got a freekick which was hit by Gigi Ichim. In the 13th minute of the match David Manea sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mugur Lucescu skillfully saved the ball. In the 16th minute, Vali Blăniță left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nevesteasca fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The audience was convinced that Vali Homeag's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mugur Lucescu was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Ion Cârstea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Alexandru in the 25th minute of play. The long shot by Claudiu Hristea in the 27th minute really tested Ion Cârstea's skills. After 41 played minutes Nevesteasca got a freekick which was hit by George Alexandru. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucrețiu Melinte in the 48th minute of play forced Nevesteasca's goalkeeper Mugur Lucescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 51st match minute, Verbia CS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Șerban Cîrțu to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Verbia CS defense, Iustin Macarie kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ion Cârstea. The Verbia CS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ion Cârstea should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Nevesteasca booed when Verbia CS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Șerban Cîrțu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Martin Constantiniu's late challenge caught a Nevesteasca's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Martin Constantiniu helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 60th minute of the game. One of Verbia CS:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Nevesteasca:s goal. The referee gave Nevesteasca a penalty, 62 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Claudiu Hristea, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Verbia CS's Ion Cârstea. 3-0. David Manea's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 68thth minute, Mugur Lucescu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. David Manea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mugur Lucescu having to interfere. Vali Homeag received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Mugur Lucescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Verbia CS getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Claudiu Nica hit a great ball. Nevesteasca's defense didn't have a chance, in the 89th minute, when Vali Homeag scored to the left of an out of position Mugur Lucescu, making the score, 3-1. After a rather tough play, Nevesteasca's Gigi Ichim got a free kick in the 97th minute. After 98 played minutes, Verbia CS's David Manea shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mugur Lucescu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Verbia CS reached it. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Nevesteasca had won after a very even match.
