The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Horaţiu Mușat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olimpiu Oprișor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Remus Urderean received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Horaţiu Mușat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Remus Urderean scored 0-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Horaţiu Mușat, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 29th minute Olimpiu Oprișor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horaţiu Mușat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Remus Urderean came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Win Allways tuKhy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Remus Urderean couldn't finish the play. After having played for 35 minutes, Constantin Caramarin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Win Allways tuKhy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Constantin Caramarin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 38 minutes into the match, -PSC- cheleFC's goal looked a bit too open when Remus Urderean came free, but Horaţiu Mușat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mihai Lupșoiu struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Sandu Gâgea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for -PSC- cheleFC. Sandu Gâgea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iosif Moscu in the 46th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olimpiu Oprișor in the 48th minute of play forced -PSC- cheleFC's goalkeeper Horaţiu Mușat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mihai Lupșoiu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Constantin Caramarin fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Win Allways tuKhy's protests and gave Constantin Caramarin a yellow card for diving instead. Olimpiu Oprișor's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Horaţiu Mușat firmly grabbed it by the left post. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Iosif Moscu put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Sandu Gâgea. Iosif Moscu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sandu Gâgea having to interfere. Narcis Taşcău kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Iosif Moscu took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sandu Gâgea. Sandu Gâgea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Nicolae Papadache kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Gabriel Fetanu, 81 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Mihai Lupșoiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Sandu Gâgea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Iosif Moscu managed to get in a good position for a shot. -PSC- cheleFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Iosif Moscu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sandu Gâgea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sandu Gâgea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iosif Moscu in the 92nd minute of the match. In the 95th match minute, Win Allways tuKhy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert Corlățean to maneuver through the defense.
