Spectators: 7128 (Terracing: 5628, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Iulian Ştefulescu kicked off to start the match. The referee gave Cublesu SC a penalty, 10 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ionel Baican, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Izbicioara's Maxim Vaştag. 0-1. Octav Cicortaș fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliodor Miron having to interfere. Cublesu SC's Eliodor Miron played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Costin Barboni in the 18th minute of play. A collision led to Cublesu SC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Nicodim Apopei hit a great ball. After 23 minutes of play, Izbicioara's Octav Cicortaș made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eliodor Miron was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Cublesu SC's Eliodor Miron got control of the ball when Octav Cicortaș tried to sneak it across the goal line. 34 minutes into the game, Iulian Ştefulescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Maxim Vaştag was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ionel Baican hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. 40 minutes into the game, Nicolae Șofran was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Izbicioara's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cublesu SC the free kick. After 40 played minutes Izbicioara got a freekick which was hit by Nicolae Șofran. After a rather tough play, Cublesu SC's Iulian Ştefulescu got a free kick in the 47th minute. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Octav Cicortaș to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Octav Cicortaș's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eliodor Miron was relentless in the 55th minute of the game.
