FC UZU Darmanesti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aliza the free kick. Radu Stolojan hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. 12 minutes into the match, FC UZU Darmanesti's goal looked a bit too open when Ovidiu Măliță came free, but Costel Trăiloiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Aliza's goalkeeper Bogdan Vătafu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Silviu Bilașco. Aliza's supporters crossed their fingers, but Liviu Zdrobău was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Liviu Zdrobău in the 37th minute of play forced FC UZU Darmanesti's goalkeeper Costel Trăiloiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FC UZU Darmanesti's zone, Ovidiu Măliță stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Costel Trăiloiu came out of the goal and Ovidiu Măliță tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ovidiu Măliță to strike the kick off in the second half. Nichifor Podgoreanu might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Costel Trăiloiu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nichifor Podgoreanu ran back to his position shaking his head. If Grigore Crăcană had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Aliza's goalkeeper Bogdan Vătafu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Aliza getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Ferdinand Onitiu hit a great ball. The supporters of Aliza booed when FC UZU Darmanesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silviu Bilașco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bogdan Vătafu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horaţiu Gorgan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd minute, Horaţiu Gorgan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ovidiu Măliță received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Costel Trăiloiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aliza's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because FC UZU Darmanesti had won, even though Aliza had held more of the ball.
