FC UZU Darmanesti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fc Farul Constanta the free kick. Damian Călimanescu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mihăiţă Brăiloiu. Fc Farul Constanta's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Francisc Iliescu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mihăiţă Brăiloiu having to make a save.

When David Muja fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fc Farul Constanta's protests and gave David Muja a yellow card for diving instead. Grigore Crăcană could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Mihăiţă Brăiloiu made a huge save. Mihăiţă Brăiloiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisc Iliescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Felix Astafiei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Costel Trăiloiu having to interfere. In the 70th minute Horia Cârneci collided with an opponent which caused him a fractured collar bone. After 71 played minutes Fc Farul Constanta got a freekick which was hit by Aristide Ciocoiu. 79 minutes into the match, Fc Farul Constanta's Ionel Banu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Costel Trăiloiu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Felix Astafiei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Costel Trăiloiu having to interfere. If Grigore Crăcană had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fc Farul Constanta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ionel Banu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Astafiei in the 89th minute of play forced FC UZU Darmanesti's goalkeeper Costel Trăiloiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grigore Crăcană fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihăiţă Brăiloiu having to interfere. The FC UZU Darmanesti players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
