Costel Trăiloiu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Octav Cicortaș in the 13th minute. After a rather tough play, FC UZU Darmanesti's Horia Cârneci got a free kick in the 13th minute. If Francisc Iliescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 70 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Izbicioara! 80 minutes into the game, Cătălin Frântu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Izbicioara's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC UZU Darmanesti the free kick. If Radu Stolojan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Grigore Crăcană fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maxim Vaştag having to interfere. Maxim Vaştag made a fantastic save in the 100th minute, when Grigore Crăcană sent off a good shot on target.
