Spectators: 6732 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1732, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Iulian Ştefulescu kicked off to start the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mihăiţă Busuioceanu got free with Moise Stănciulaş in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Andrei Vlădean's late challenge caught a Precupesti CSS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. If Sever Vergulescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute Iulian Ştefulescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moise Stănciulaş saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Pompiliu Receanu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eliodor Miron was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Eliodor Miron showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sever Vergulescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 40th match minute, Precupesti CSS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doru Ciociu to maneuver through the defense. If Mihăiţă Busuioceanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pompiliu Receanu was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Mihăiţă Busuioceanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cublesu SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mihăiţă Busuioceanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
