The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mihăiţă Brăiloiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petruț Bostan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Petruț Bostan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iosif Urdea in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mihăiţă Brăiloiu saved Fc Farul Constanta from getting behind. Iosif Urdea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihăiţă Brăiloiu having to interfere. If Petruț Bostan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Petruț Bostan managed to get in a good position for a shot. FcVoluntari's supporters rose to their feet, but Petruț Bostan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mihăiţă Brăiloiu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 26 minutes in the game, Iosif Urdea dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Mihăiţă Brăiloiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horea Zgârcu in the 29th minute of play. Aurelian Apopei made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Ionel Banu sent off a good shot on target. Aurelian Apopei was out of position in the 40 minute of play, and Marin Merișor capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Marin Merișor really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Fc Farul Constanta's Ionel Banu got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Marin Merișor made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marin Merișor in the 59th minute of play forced FcVoluntari's goalkeeper Aurelian Apopei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 64 played minutes FcVoluntari got a freekick which was hit by Horea Zgârcu. Mihăiţă Brăiloiu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Petruț Bostan went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. If Iosif Urdea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mihăiţă Brăiloiu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Petruț Bostan in the 88th minute. In the 90th minute, Iosif Urdea reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mihăiţă Brăiloiu. The goal made the score 1-2. In the 94th minute, Emil Sasu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aurelian Gugulanu hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. When the final whistle sounded FcVoluntari left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Fc Farul Constanta.
