In the 21st minute Nicodim Mâinea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliodor Filimon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the game, Cristi Gugulanu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mezomojos CS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stiinta Barlad the free kick. If Octav Raicu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 27 minutes into the game, Emanuel Tufescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Ştefan Lipoveanu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 36 minutes into the match, Mezomojos CS's goal looked a bit too open when Nicodim Mâinea came free, but Eliodor Filimon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 40 minutes, Octav Raicu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stiinta Barlad's supporters crossed their fingers, but Octav Raicu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After having played for 47 minutes, Nicodim Mâinea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Octav Raicu made a kick off. After 54 played minutes Stiinta Barlad got a freekick which was hit by Teodor Praporgescu. In the 59th minute, Emanuel Tufescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Emanuel Tufescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicodim Mâinea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Eliodor Filimon made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gavril Vasilache in the 67th minute of play forced Stiinta Barlad's goalkeeper Ştefan Lipoveanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 76 minutes, Eliodor Filimon successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 78th minute, Stiinta Barlad's Vlad Ţiţeica seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Vlad Ţiţeica the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Stiinta Barlad protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Vlad Ţiţeica had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 78 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Stiinta Barlad! Emanuel Tufescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Nicodim Mâinea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 92 minutes into the match, Mezomojos CS's goalkeeper Eliodor Filimon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicodim Mâinea. Ştefan Lipoveanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gavril Vasilache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. For all the effort they put into the match, the Stiinta Barlad players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Mezomojos CS.
