Emil Chesarus short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Eliodor Filimon to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 18 minutes into the match, Emanuel Tufescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gică Calota. CF Târgoviște 2017's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emanuel Tufescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Emil Chesaru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Eliodor Filimon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emil Chesaru could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Eliodor Filimon made a huge save. When Emil Chesaru came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the CF Târgoviște 2017 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emil Chesaru couldn't finish the play. If Gavril Vasilache had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. Gică Calota was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Emanuel Tufescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gică Calota. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gică Calota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gavril Vasilache in the 70th minute of play. Iurie Gheban received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute.
