Aurelian Chiriacescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octav Raicu in the 12th minute of the match. A collision led to Stiinta Barlad getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Virgil Nistorescu hit a great ball. Marius Şuplăcans short, quick shot in the 22ndth minute got Ştefan Lipoveanu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Nicodim Mâinea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelian Chiriacescu having to interfere. Aurelian Chiriacescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octav Raicu in the 30th minute of the match. Aurel Dulgherescu kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. If Octav Raicu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leontin Cartianu's late challenge caught a Stiinta Barlad's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leontin Cartianu helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Stiinta Barlad booed when -PSC- Balaci FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leontin Cartianu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nicodim Mâinea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Aurelian Chiriacescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicodim Mâinea in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aurelian Chiriacescu saved -PSC- Balaci FC from getting behind. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cristinel Tărbac made a kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Nicodim Mâinea could shoot a difficult shot in the 56th minute, which Aurelian Chiriacescu however easily saved by the left post. An unexpected shot in the 57th minute by Nicodim Mâinea got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 60th minute, Marius Şuplăcan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ştefan Lipoveanu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 66th minute Octav Raicu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelian Chiriacescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marius Şuplăcan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristinel Tărbac received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Nicodim Mâinea who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 79thth minute tested the skills of Aurelian Chiriacescu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 82 minutes into the match, -PSC- Balaci FC's goal looked a bit too open when Octav Raicu came free, but Aurelian Chiriacescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristinel Tărbac sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in -PSC- Balaci FC's zone, Nicodim Mâinea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aurelian Chiriacescu came out of the goal and Nicodim Mâinea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stiinta Barlad's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
