Spectators: 7469 (Terracing: 5603, Seating: 1717, VIP seats: 149) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Costică Mudura kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute, Sandu Chiriacescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 5 minutes into the match, AS Roma Braila's goalkeeper Petru Todericiu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Costin Todoran. Mihăiţă Vârșan's late challenge caught a -PSC- Balaci FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mihăiţă Vârșan helped the player get up and apologised. After 10 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for AS Roma Braila! The goalkeeper, Petru Todericiu, was totally fooled by -PSC- Balaci FC's Laurențiu Vişoianu, who 12 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. -PSC- Balaci FC's Aurelian Chiriacescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Costică Mudura in the 20th minute of play. David Verzeanu struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Aurelian Chiriacescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AS Roma Braila. David Verzeanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, David Verzeanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. AS Roma Braila's supporters rose to their feet, but David Verzeanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aurelian Chiriacescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aurelian Chiriacescu came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by AS Roma Braila's Costică Mudura. But to his dismay, Costică Mudura quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After a rather tough play, -PSC- Balaci FC's Laurențiu Vişoianu got a free kick in the 35th minute. After a defensive mix-up in -PSC- Balaci FC's zone, Costică Mudura stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aurelian Chiriacescu came out of the goal and Costică Mudura tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aurelian Chiriacescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from David Verzeanu went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. -PSC- Balaci FC's Aurelian Chiriacescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Verzeanu in the 42nd minute of play. David Verzeanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Aurelian Chiriacescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Verzeanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cristinel Tărbac made a kick off. During the 55th minute of the match Mihăiţă Vârșan completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Mihăiţă Vârșan a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 54 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for AS Roma Braila! 66 minutes into the match, AS Roma Braila's Dorel Braniște sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aurelian Chiriacescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Leontin Cartianu hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. 74 minutes into the game, Costin Todoran was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. -PSC- Balaci FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AS Roma Braila the free kick. After having played for 78 minutes, Vali Zbârnea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AS Roma Braila's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vali Zbârnea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aurelian Chiriacescu came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by AS Roma Braila's Pavel Oțeteleșanu. But to his dismay, Pavel Oțeteleșanu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. David Verzeanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vali Zbârnea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind -PSC- Balaci FC's goalkeeper Aurelian Chiriacescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sandu Chiriacescu got free with Aurelian Chiriacescu in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. AS Roma Braila's Petru Todericiu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristinel Tărbac in the 93rd minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, AS Roma Braila's goal looked a bit too open when Cristinel Tărbac came free, but Petru Todericiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 96 played minutes -PSC- Balaci FC got a freekick which was hit by Marius Şuplăcan. Pavel Oțeteleșanu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aurelian Chiriacescu having to make a save. When the match was over AS Roma Braila could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than -PSC- Balaci FC throughout the match.
