The Gică Calota was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Costică Mudura in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gică Calota prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 19th minute, CF Târgoviște 2017's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Sandu Chiriacescu fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Costică Mudura struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Gică Calota didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AS Roma Braila. When Costică Mudura came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the AS Roma Braila fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Costică Mudura couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Costică Mudura in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gică Calota saved CF Târgoviște 2017 from getting behind. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Iurie Gheban to strike the kick off in the second half. AS Roma Braila's David Verzeanu couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 55th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for CF Târgoviște 2017. In the 58th minute, Emil Chesaru reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Petru Todericiu. The goal made the score 1-1. 62 minutes into the match, AS Roma Braila's goalkeeper Petru Todericiu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emil Chesaru. David Verzeanu kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Costică Mudura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. In the 87th match minute, CF Târgoviște 2017 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vasile Mitruț to maneuver through the defense. Filip Mihăescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sandu Chiriacescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gică Calota having to interfere. In the 95th minute Costică Mudura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gică Calota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Costică Mudura in the 97th minute of play forced CF Târgoviște 2017's goalkeeper Gică Calota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
