Ghidut FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Banica in the 42nd minute. Gelu Şerb was a little too slow when Nicodim Neguțu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 43rd minute. The score was now 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Petru Muslea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gelu Şerb read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Manuel Elefteriu charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Manuel Elefteriu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. OLYMPYA SANPETRU's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. If Petru Muslea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Petru Muslea fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ghidut FC's protests and gave Petru Muslea a yellow card for diving instead. After 82 minutes, Dorin Stegaru mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the OLYMPYA SANPETRU and the Ghidut FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Ghidut FC booed when OLYMPYA SANPETRU was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorin Stegaru didn't get a good kick on the ball.
