Dumitru Braia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Caciulescu in the 8th minute of play. Dumitru Braia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isac Stătescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Maxim Fulga came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maxim Fulga couldn't finish the play. Marius Luican succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 13th playminute. Adam Caciulescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Dumitru Braia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Isac Stătescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. BUFNITA FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Isac Stătescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dumitru Braia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dumitru Braia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isac Stătescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After 26 minutes UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dinu Nicopol who took care of the corner kick. Cristian Calciu thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Dumitru Braia, a very annoying self made goal in the 26th minute which led to 1-1. The BUFNITA FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Nicolae Decuseară kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. If Alexandru Furdui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 48 minutes into the match, BUFNITA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Maxim Fulga came free, but Pompiliu Slavici reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

Adam Caciulescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA's zone, Adam Caciulescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dumitru Braia came out of the goal and Adam Caciulescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marius Luican fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pompiliu Slavici having to interfere. Dorin Năsturel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dumitru Braia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adam Caciulescu in the 92nd minute of the match. 94 minutes into the match, UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA's goalkeeper Dumitru Braia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adam Caciulescu. The attack was good, but when Adam Caciulescu in the 97th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. BUFNITA FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
