Mihai Urducea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Ionel Lopatnicu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Gods Of The Arena booed when Feru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Hrib didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Gods Of The Arena's goalkeeper Viorel Vişoianu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sever Breazu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Ionel Lopatnicu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Gheorghe Ţiriac managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gods Of The Arena's supporters rose to their feet, but Gheorghe Ţiriac was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ionel Lopatnicu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Gheorghe Ţiriac's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ionel Lopatnicu was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. In the 66th minute Sergiu Mușetescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viorel Vişoianu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ionel Lopatnicu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sever Breazu in the 76th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Feru's Gabriel Hrib got a free kick in the 77th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Feru's goal looked a bit too open when Gheorghe Ţiriac came free, but Ionel Lopatnicu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Traian Amurăriței charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Traian Amurăriței the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Feru getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Traian Amurăriței hit a great ball. Eusebiu Prunaru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 97 minutes into the match, Sergiu Mușetescu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Viorel Vişoianu, 1-3. The Gods Of The Arena supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Feru's performance. The match ended with a win for Feru.
