When Ionuț Pușcariu fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hotarel FC's protests and gave Ionuț Pușcariu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 4th minute, Ionuț Pușcariu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Niculae Dobrotă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Ionuț Șora tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Octavian Drăucean's late challenge caught a DrumLung's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Octavian Drăucean helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Hotarel FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Octavian Drăucean hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, DrumLung's Martin Pârvuță got a free kick in the 12th minute. DrumLung's Ionuț Șora played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octavian Drăucean in the 15th minute of play. Martin Isăilă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Dragotescu having to interfere. In the 20th minute of the match, Mugur Ionescu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Manuel Dragotescu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Niculae Dobrotă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hotarel FC's Niculae Dobrotă got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 35th minute, Octavian Drăucean left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hotarel FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After 44 played minutes Hotarel FC got a freekick which was hit by Cezar Florei. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Mugur Ionescu made the kick off in the second half. Niculae Dobrotă blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ionuț Șora having to make a save. Manuel Dragotescu came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by DrumLung's Mugur Ionescu. But to his dismay, Mugur Ionescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Martin Isăilă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Dragotescu having to interfere. Mugur Ionescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Martin Isăilă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. DrumLung's Ionuț Șora played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octavian Drăucean in the 78th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Narcis Cristescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Hotarel FC's Octavian Drăucean in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye DrumLung's goalie prevented a goal. If Octavian Drăucean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, DrumLung's Ionuț Șora got control of the ball when Niculae Dobrotă tried to sneak it across the goal line. Niculae Dobrotă struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Ionuț Șora didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hotarel FC. Niculae Dobrotă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Ionuț Șora tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mugur Ionescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Hotarel FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
