Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Avram Oprișan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pocola's supporters rose to their feet, but Avram Oprișan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valentin Baciu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 6 minutes in the game, Eric Elisei fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Costin Jilăveanu having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, Pocola's goalkeeper Costin Jilăveanu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eric Elisei. In the 15thth minute of the game Iurie Băbescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pocola's Costin Jilăveanu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Toader Căplescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of F.C Târgoviște booed when Pocola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viorel Mustăcilă didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 20 played minutes, F.C Târgoviște's Ionel Iorgu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Costin Jilăveanu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in F.C Târgoviște reached it. Eric Elisei took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Costin Jilăveanu. Costin Jilăveanu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. A collision led to F.C Târgoviște getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Iurie Băbescu hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, F.C Târgoviște's Toader Băncilă got a free kick in the 27th minute. Eric Elisei's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Costin Jilăveanu firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 35 played minutes Toader Căplescu rounded Pocola's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. After 38 played minutes Pocola got a freekick which was hit by Corneliu Muslea. Costin Jilăveanu was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Ionel Iorgu. When Silviu Nanu fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored F.C Târgoviște's protests and gave Silviu Nanu a yellow card for diving instead. Eric Tastaman took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 45th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Valentin Baciu. F.C Târgoviște's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 46 played minutes Pocola got a freekick which was hit by Eric Tastaman. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Iurie Băbescu scored 3-0 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Costin Jilăveanu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of F.C Târgoviște booed when Pocola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viorel Mustăcilă didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th minute, Sever Isaicu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Costin Jilăveanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toader Băncilă, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After having played for 87 minutes, Sever Isaicu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pocola's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sever Isaicu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Avram Oprișan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mădălin Miron was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 93 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 92nd minute of the game. One of Pocola:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of F.C Târgoviște:s goal. Costin Jilăveanu had in the 95thth minute some difficulties stopping Ionel Iorgu's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Avram Oprișan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The F.C Târgoviște support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
