Martin Ostoici's late challenge caught a FC Lyra's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. FC Lyra's Sever Racoviță got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Gică Scaeru managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kadicsfalva UFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gică Scaeru was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristian Lupșe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alin Mihuleac kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. 34 minutes into the game, Kadicsfalva UFC's Nistor Nicoliță nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cristian Lupșe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. A collision led to Kadicsfalva UFC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Laurențiu Jucan hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

FC Lyra's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gică Scaeru was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 60th match minute, Kadicsfalva UFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mihnea Boacă to maneuver through the defense. If Sever Racoviță had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sever Racoviță received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Gigel Sandu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Lyra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sever Racoviță was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gigel Sandu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sever Racoviță in the 87th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Alexandru Pumnu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 92 minutes in the game, Gică Scaeru dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. If Vintilă Isăceanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Kadicsfalva UFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
