Spectators: 6728 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Cristi Hănescu took the kick off in the first half of the match. The supporters of Panic AC booed when Gorgova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viorel Bărănescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 3 minutes into the game, Panic AC's Gheorghe Şendrea nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mihai Barbă made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After 6 played minutes Panic AC got a freekick which was hit by Emilian Perșa. 8 minutes into the match, Gorgova's goalkeeper Mihai Barbă had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alexandru Lipan. When Gorgova's Cristi Hănescu in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Panic AC's goalie prevented a goal. Alexandru Lipan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dacian Sucigan kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Alexandru Lipan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Gorgova's Mihăiţă Honciu in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Panic AC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 22nd match minute, Panic AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Narcis Barbăneagră to maneuver through the defense. Cristi Hănescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Liviu Zmărăndache having to interfere. Alexandru Lipan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mihăiţă Honciu struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Liviu Zmărăndache didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gorgova. In the 34th minute, Emilian Perșa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gorgova's Dumitru Raţiu couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 35th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Panic AC. Cristi Hănescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Liviu Zmărăndache tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gorgova's Mihăiţă Honciu got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Panic AC's zone, Mihăiţă Honciu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Liviu Zmărăndache came out of the goal and Mihăiţă Honciu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 45 minutes into the game, Cristi Hănescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Liviu Zmărăndache was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gheorghe Şendrea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Gorgova's Dacian Sucigan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Liviu Zmărăndache narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 53 minutes into the match, Gorgova's goal looked a bit too open when Gheorghe Şendrea came free, but Mihai Barbă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dacian Sucigan charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dacian Sucigan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 54 played minutes Gorgova got a freekick which was hit by Dacian Sucigan. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gheorghe Şendrea in the 58th minute of play forced Gorgova's goalkeeper Mihai Barbă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Dacian Sucigan was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 60 minutes had been played. After 62 played minutes, Panic AC's Anton Drăghici shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mihai Barbă came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Panic AC reached it. Mihăiţă Honciu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Liviu Zmărăndache tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Viorel Bărănescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Liviu Zmărăndache read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. With a little luck, Panic AC's Liviu Zmărăndache got control of the ball when Mihăiţă Honciu tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Panic AC booed when Gorgova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ovidiu Mihu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Liviu Zmărăndache made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viorel Bărănescu in the 84th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mihăiţă Honciu got free with Liviu Zmărăndache in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Viorel Bărănescu in the 90thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Liviu Zmărăndache, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The supporters of Gorgova booed when Panic AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Codruț Balc didn't get a good kick on the ball. 98 minutes into the match, Gorgova's Dumitru Raţiu broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal.
