Spectators: 6000 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Calistrat Bădiliță started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The audience thought a goal was coming when Victor Petrin got free with Mihai Barbă in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 8thth minute of the game Calistrat Bădiliță who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gorgova's Mihai Barbă was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 9th minute, Dacian Sucigan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mihai Barbă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Calistrat Bădiliță in the 11th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dacian Sucigan during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 13 played minutes Gorgova got a freekick which was hit by Dacian Sucigan. After recieving a nice pass, Steaua Lăschia's Eugen Drăgoescu tried to score from far away in the 14th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 16th minute, Cristi Hănescu made a precise shot to the right of Mugur Macovei. Steaua Lăschia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mihăiţă Honciu in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mugur Macovei prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cristi Hănescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30thth minute of the game Mihăiţă Honciu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Steaua Lăschia's Mugur Macovei was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cristi Hănescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Mugur Macovei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mihăiţă Honciu scored 0-2 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mugur Macovei, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Gorgova booed when Steaua Lăschia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Costică Anghelescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mugur Macovei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristi Hănescu in the 40th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pompiliu Cândreanu during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 44th minute, Pompiliu Cândreanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Steaua Lăschia players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gorgova were winning 0-3.

After a defensive mix-up in Steaua Lăschia's zone, Mihăiţă Honciu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mugur Macovei came out of the goal and Mihăiţă Honciu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gorgova's Dumitru Raţiu couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 65th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Steaua Lăschia. Victor Petrin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihai Barbă having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristi Hănescu in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mugur Macovei saved Steaua Lăschia from getting behind. Steaua Lăschia's Mugur Macovei proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Steaua Lăschia from getting a goal against them. A hard shot 77 in the game by Mihăiţă Honciu from a close distance when the talented Mugur Macovei managed to make a qualified save. Steaua Lăschia's players were relieved. Mihăiţă Honciu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 81st minute, Steaua Lăschia's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cristi Hănescu fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Mugur Macovei stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristi Hănescu's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Cristi Hănescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mugur Macovei having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Gorgova eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
