Spectators: 6000 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Narcis Baldovinescu kicked off to start the match. 6 minutes into the game, Augustin Unciuleanu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chionea's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Steaua Lăschia the free kick. Augustin Unciuleanu kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. The long shot by Eugen Drăgoescu in the 7th minute really tested Dumitru Găman's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Victor Petrin got free with Dumitru Găman in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Victor Petrin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Steaua Lăschia booed when Chionea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toader Petre didn't get a good kick on the ball. Calistrat Bădiliță struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Dumitru Găman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Steaua Lăschia. 32 minutes into the match, Chionea's goal looked a bit too open when Calistrat Bădiliță came free, but Dumitru Găman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute, Steaua Lăschia's Calistrat Bădiliță ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dumitru Găman. Dumitru Găman yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Narcis Baldovinescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Steaua Lăschia's Mugur Macovei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augustin Unciuleanu in the 38th minute of play. Narcis Baldovinescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Augustin Unciuleanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Costică Anghelescu's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Dumitru Găman firmly grabbed it by the left post. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Calistrat Bădiliță to make the kick off. Steaua Lăschia's Aron Ciungu suffered a sprained foot after 53 minutes and couldn't finish the game. If Victor Petrin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Steaua Lăschia booed when Chionea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Narcis Baldovinescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chionea's Dumitru Găman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Petrin in the 67th minute of play. Toader Petre was shown his second yellow card after 69 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Chionea getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Toader Petre hit a great ball. Victor Petrin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dumitru Găman having to make a save. Dumitru Găman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Petrin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Augustin Unciuleanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Narcis Baldovinescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Steaua Lăschia's Costică Anghelescu got a free kick in the 88th minute. Narcis Baldovinescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mugur Macovei. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Narcis Baldovinescu ran back to his position shaking his head. Steaua Lăschia's Victor Petrin got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ştefan Cînu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
