Iordache Calciu started the match with the kick off. Andrei Costea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Radu Gorjanu in the 5th minute of the match. Lucian Oroian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marian Turdeanu hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Lucian Oroian could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Gelu Măgură made a huge save. When Vlad Baștină fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BSC Young Boys's protests and gave Vlad Baștină a yellow card for diving instead. After 27 played minutes BSC Young Boys got a freekick which was hit by Vlad Baștină. After 30 minutes, Radu Gorjanu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BSC Young Boys and the FC Grigorescu players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to BSC Young Boys getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Radu Gorjanu hit a great ball. In the 34th minute, Iacob Chiriac got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Iacob Chiriac in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andrei Costea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Iordache Calciu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gelu Măgură made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucian Oroian in the 40th minute. Gelu Măgură showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iordache Calciu in the 41st minute of the match. Iordache Calciu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gelu Măgură having to interfere. Radu Arseni charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Radu Arseni the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Radu Arseni kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

The wind increased when Iacob Chiriac made the kick off in the second half. Radu Gorjanu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andrei Costea read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Radu Gorjanu, 60 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 66 played minutes FC Grigorescu got a freekick which was hit by Emilian Zăvoianu. Andrei Costea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iacob Chiriac in the 76th minute. 79 minutes into the match, FC Grigorescu's goalkeeper Andrei Costea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Radu Gorjanu. Radu Gorjanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrei Costea having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Marian Turdeanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. BSC Young Boys's supporters rose to their feet, but Marian Turdeanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andrei Costea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FC Grigorescu's Andrei Costea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Răzvan Capisizu in the 86th minute of play. Gelu Măgură showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iordache Calciu in the 96th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched BSC Young Boys eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
