With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mugurel Ghimiș prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iordache Calciu in the 12th minute of play forced CF XII-H 2006's goalkeeper Mugurel Ghimiș to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the match, CF XII-H 2006's goal looked a bit too open when Iordache Calciu came free, but Mugurel Ghimiș reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andrei Costea made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Dorin Cristoiu sent off a good shot on target. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 33 minutes into the match, CF XII-H 2006's goal looked a bit too open when Lucian Oroian came free, but Mugurel Ghimiș reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dorin Cristoiu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Andrei Costea having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Iordache Calciu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mugurel Ghimiș was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. Andrei Costea was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Pompiliu Biriș. After 41 played minutes FC Grigorescu got a freekick which was hit by Emilian Zăvoianu. When Dorin Cristoiu came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the CF XII-H 2006 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dorin Cristoiu couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, FC Grigorescu's Iordache Calciu got a free kick in the 48th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Iordache Calciu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mugurel Ghimiș showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iordache Calciu in the 55th minute of the match. Dorin Cristoiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. CF XII-H 2006's Mugurel Ghimiș proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save CF XII-H 2006 from getting a goal against them. Nichifor Boc's late challenge caught a FC Grigorescu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 66th minute of the match, Lucian Oroian got a very nice opportunity to score, but Mugurel Ghimiș was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Mugurel Ghimiș took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iordache Calciu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 68 played minutes CF XII-H 2006 got a freekick which was hit by Alex Mischie. 74 minutes into the match, FC Grigorescu's goal looked a bit too open when Dorin Cristoiu came free, but Andrei Costea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Dorin Cristoiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Emilian Bucurescu fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Grigorescu's protests and gave Emilian Bucurescu a yellow card for diving instead. Emilian Bucurescu kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. 81 minutes in the game, Iordache Calciu fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Mugurel Ghimiș having to interfere. In the 87th match minute, FC Grigorescu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emilian Zăvoianu to maneuver through the defense. After 96 played minutes CF XII-H 2006 got a freekick which was hit by Dan Nae. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
