The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Emanuel Florean received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Andrei Costea came out and tried to block the shot, but Emanuel Florean slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 4th minute. Narcis Costache fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrei Costea having to interfere. Doru Huștea kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Olteni CSS's Codrin Opaina ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Andrei Costea. Andrei Costea yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Dacian Coja hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Andrei Costea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Florean, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. 35 minutes into the game, Claudiu Marina was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Olteni CSS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Grigorescu the free kick. A collision led to Olteni CSS getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Claudiu Marina hit a great ball. Iordache Calciu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 41 minutes into the match, FC Grigorescu's goalkeeper Andrei Costea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Claudiu Marina. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Andrei Costea stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emanuel Florean's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. The Olteni CSS fans' excitement grew in the 56th match minute when Olteni CSS's Emanuel Florean looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a defensive mix-up in FC Grigorescu's zone, Claudiu Marina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andrei Costea came out of the goal and Claudiu Marina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match clock showed 66 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Emanuel Florean sped through FC Grigorescu's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Andrei Costea. Claudiu Marina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrei Costea having to interfere. Marcel Buciu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iordache Calciu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lucian Oroian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Marcel Buciu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Emanuel Florean came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Olteni CSS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emanuel Florean couldn't finish the play. Olteni CSS's Claudiu Marina got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 84 minutes into the game, Emilian Zăvoianu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Grigorescu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Olteni CSS the free kick. A collision led to FC Grigorescu getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Emilian Zăvoianu hit a great ball. After 86 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Grigorescu! 92 minutes into the match, Olteni CSS's Claudiu Marina sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Andrei Costea narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Iordache Calciu was extremely unlucky when he, in the 95th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Andrei Costea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emanuel Florean went, in the 98th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. Olteni CSS were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of FC Grigorescu for a fine match.
