But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Costin Coșereanu couldn't finish the play. 23 minutes into the game, Horea Ivan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Berca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ATG the free kick. Horea Ivan kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. After 28 minutes of play, ATG's Emanuel Şerban made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Romeo Hălmăgeanu was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 36th minute Nichifor Ciolac suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. In the 37th match minute, ATG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octav Gârneț to maneuver through the defense. Dinu Miu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Costică Curteanu in the 41st minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Costin Coșereanu to make the kick off. Costică Curteanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dinu Miu having to interfere. Filip Simionescu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 62nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Romeo Hălmăgeanu. Berca's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Costică Curteanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dinu Miu having to interfere. Dinu Miu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Codrin Georgescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Costin Coșereanu succeeded in the game's 70th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-0. Costică Curteanu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Dinu Miu made a huge save. Berca's Romeo Hălmăgeanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Şerban in the 80th minute of play. After having played for 87 minutes, Costin Coșereanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ATG's supporters crossed their fingers, but Costin Coșereanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mugur Bărbânță kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. After 93 played minutes, ATG's Victor Miron shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Romeo Hălmăgeanu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ATG reached it. ATG's Emanuel Şerban got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 99th minute Costin Coșereanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeo Hălmăgeanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ATG were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Berca for a fine match.
