Romeo Hălmăgeanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Cristea in the 3rd minute of the match. The supporters of Berca booed when St. Pauli -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eric Vasiloiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 14 minutes, Vasile Bocaneț managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. St. Pauli -MM-'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Vasile Bocaneț was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 16th minute, Daniel Chevereșan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Romeo Hălmăgeanu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Chevereșan in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Romeo Hălmăgeanu saved Berca from getting behind. Romeo Hălmăgeanu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Chevereșan's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Pavel Costăchescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Codrin Georgescu went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 30 minutes into the match, St. Pauli -MM-'s goalkeeper Pavel Costăchescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Costică Curteanu. After 32 minutes of play, St. Pauli -MM-'s Daniel Chevereșan made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Romeo Hălmăgeanu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Chevereșan in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Romeo Hălmăgeanu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 40th minute, Mugur Bărbânță hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Codrin Georgescu to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Chevereșan in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Romeo Hălmăgeanu saved Berca from getting behind. Nichifor Ciolac's late challenge caught a St. Pauli -MM-'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nichifor Ciolac helped the player get up and apologised. Daniel Chevereșan in the 57thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Romeo Hălmăgeanu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Ionel Răuțu came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the St. Pauli -MM- fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ionel Răuțu couldn't finish the play. The supporters of St. Pauli -MM- booed when Berca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Cristea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Chevereșan struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Romeo Hălmăgeanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for St. Pauli -MM-. Romeo Hălmăgeanu made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Daniel Chevereșan sent off a good shot on target. Pavel Costăchescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Costică Curteanu in the 79th minute of play. Daniel Chevereșan did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-5 to the left of a surprised Romeo Hălmăgeanu 81 minutes into the match. Daniel Chevereșan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Romeo Hălmăgeanu made a huge save. Codrin Georgescu struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Pavel Costăchescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Berca. The audience was convinced that Daniel Chevereșan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Romeo Hălmăgeanu was relentless in the 88th minute of the game.
