Romeo Hălmăgeanu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marian Vintilescu in the 3rd minute. In the 10th minute there was a penalty for Berca. Codruț Vişan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Costică Curteanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Codrin Georgescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Berca's Romeo Hălmăgeanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Berca from getting a goal against them. After 36 minutes, Dragoş Costandin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vulturii Giulvăz and the Berca players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 39 minutes, Costică Curteanu made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Vulturii Giulvăz's Codruț Vişan tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Romeo Hălmăgeanu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marian Vintilescu went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Codrin Georgescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nichifor Ciolac's late challenge caught a Vulturii Giulvăz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nichifor Ciolac helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Berca getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Nichifor Ciolac hit a great ball. In the 52nd minute, Cristian Ciocan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vulturii Giulvăz fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. 56 minutes into the match, Vulturii Giulvăz's goalkeeper Codruț Vişan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Costică Curteanu. Codrin Georgescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Codruț Vişan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Romeo Hălmăgeanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dragoş Costandin, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Codruț Vişan was out of position in the 67 minute of play, and Codrin Georgescu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Codrin Georgescu really showed his touch with that goal: 2-5. Dragoş Costandin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 71st minute of the game. One of Berca:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Vulturii Giulvăz:s goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marian Vintilescu during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Vulturii Giulvăz's Marian Vintilescu got a free kick in the 77th minute. In the 81st minute, Codrin Georgescu fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Romeo Hălmăgeanu didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Vulturii Giulvăz's Dragoş Costandin shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 4-5 in the ordered_time% minute. Dragoş Costandin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute Cristian Ciocan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeo Hălmăgeanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
