In the 7th minute Aron Aluculesei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denis Neagu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 9 minutes, Radu Hurezan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Diesel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Radu Hurezan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aron Aluculesei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 12 played minutes Real Madrid FC got a freekick which was hit by Aurel Măliță. Edgar Vuşcans short, quick shot in the 16thth minute got Horia Mendrea to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Real Madrid FC's Cristinel Alecu in the 17th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Horia Mendrea was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Diesel through an amazing save. Edgar Vuşcan took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Horia Mendrea. Horia Mendrea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Diesel's zone, Cristinel Alecu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Horia Mendrea came out of the goal and Cristinel Alecu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aurel Măliță kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, Diesel's Aron Aluculesei sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Denis Neagu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Edgar Vuşcan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Horia Mendrea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Horia Mendrea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristinel Alecu, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Edgar Vuşcan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horia Mendrea having to interfere. Edgar Vuşcan in the 44thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Horia Mendrea, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cristinel Alecu was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Diesel's zone, Cristinel Alecu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Horia Mendrea came out of the goal and Cristinel Alecu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 59 minutes into the match, Real Madrid FC's Edgar Vuşcan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Horia Mendrea narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edgar Vuşcan in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Horia Mendrea saved Diesel from getting behind. Real Madrid FC's Denis Neagu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radu Hurezan in the 71st minute of play. After some careless play in the Diesel defense, Edgar Vuşcan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Horia Mendrea. The Diesel fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Horia Mendrea should have stopped the shot. Cristinel Alecu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Aron Aluculesei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radu Hurezan in the 90th minute of play forced Real Madrid FC's goalkeeper Denis Neagu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristinel Alecu in the 91st minute of play forced Diesel's goalkeeper Horia Mendrea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Real Madrid FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Diesel had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
