Spectators: 7482 (Terracing: 5613, Seating: 1720, VIP seats: 149) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when George Muja got the match started through his kick off. The supporters of F.C. Viitorul Iasi booed when Tazlaul FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matei Tinu didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Viorel Drăghici during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Viorel Drăghici kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. In the 6th minute, Iustinian Negulici ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Albert Otopeanu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 8 played minutes F.C. Viitorul Iasi got a freekick which was hit by Grigore Măndica. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind F.C. Viitorul Iasi's goalkeeper Albert Otopeanu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. F.C. Viitorul Iasi's Albert Otopeanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anton Aliuta in the 17th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Tazlaul FC's Iustinian Negulici got a free kick in the 24th minute. If Anton Aliuta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anton Aliuta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ionel Tonegaru kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. George Muja struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Ilie Costandache didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.C. Viitorul Iasi. In the 36th match minute, F.C. Viitorul Iasi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by George Muja to maneuver through the defense. If George Muja had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. F.C. Viitorul Iasi's Albert Otopeanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anton Aliuta in the 45th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Iustinian Negulici to make the kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Anton Aliuta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tazlaul FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anton Aliuta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Anton Aliuta who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 56thth minute tested the skills of Albert Otopeanu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Albert Otopeanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iustinian Negulici, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 60 minutes into the match, Tazlaul FC's goal looked a bit too open when Grigore Măndica came free, but Ilie Costandache reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. George Dinculescu's late challenge caught a F.C. Viitorul Iasi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. George Dinculescu helped the player get up and apologised. After 61 played minutes Tazlaul FC got a freekick which was hit by George Dinculescu. Iustinian Negulici blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Albert Otopeanu having to make a save. In the 86th minute Iustinian Negulici shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albert Otopeanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 88thth minute of the game Iustinian Negulici who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but F.C. Viitorul Iasi's Albert Otopeanu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 89 minutes into the match, F.C. Viitorul Iasi's goalkeeper Albert Otopeanu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anton Aliuta. Vintilă Rusu hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In the 92nd minute of the match Tazlaul FC got a corner. F.C. Viitorul Iasi's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ionel Tonegaru ran over to the corner to take the kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anton Aliuta got free with Albert Otopeanu in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tazlaul FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
