An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Purcaru in the 31st minute of play forced Diesel's goalkeeper Horia Mendrea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Traian Zeciu was out of position in the 43 minute of play, and Mădălin Protase capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mădălin Protase really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Aron Aluculesei hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. When Daniel Purcaru came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Sparta do Prague FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Purcaru couldn't finish the play. Edgar Vrejiu hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Sparta do Prague FC's Daniel Purcaru managed to work through Diesel's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Daniel Purcaru dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After a defensive mix-up in Diesel's zone, Daniel Purcaru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Horia Mendrea came out of the goal and Daniel Purcaru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 64th match minute, Sparta do Prague FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgar Vrejiu to maneuver through the defense. Romeo Mihaiu's late challenge caught a Diesel's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Romeo Mihaiu helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Sparta do Prague FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Romeo Mihaiu hit a great ball. Traian Zeciu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Radu Hurezan's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. In the 72nd minute, Edgar Vrejiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Diesel booed when Sparta do Prague FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgar Vrejiu didn't get a good kick on the ball.
