Spectators: 6719 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1719, VIP seats: 0) F.C. Viitorul Iasi's George Muja started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Aristide Şoimu hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Sarbestii CSM's Octav Bosânceanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grigore Măndica in the 10th minute of play. Octav Bosânceanu came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by F.C. Viitorul Iasi's George Muja. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, George Muja managed to get in a good position for a shot. F.C. Viitorul Iasi's supporters rose to their feet, but George Muja was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Octav Bosânceanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by George Muja in the 22nd minute of play forced Sarbestii CSM's goalkeeper Octav Bosânceanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grigore Măndica received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Octav Bosânceanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Octav Bosânceanu came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by F.C. Viitorul Iasi's Grigore Măndica. But to his dismay, Grigore Măndica quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Ştefan Panait sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, F.C. Viitorul Iasi's Albert Otopeanu got control of the ball when Gigi Ursulescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Octav Bosânceanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from George Muja in the 37th minute of the match. In the 42ndth minute of the game Grigore Măndica who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sarbestii CSM's Octav Bosânceanu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Viorel Drăghici received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 49th minute. Octav Bosânceanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ştefan Panait to strike the kick off in the second half. Cristian Negruț took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 61st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Albert Otopeanu. F.C. Viitorul Iasi's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Albert Otopeanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ştefan Panait in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 63rd match minute, F.C. Viitorul Iasi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ştefan Juverdeanu to maneuver through the defense. Ştefan Panait recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Viorel Drăghici's late challenge caught a Sarbestii CSM's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Viorel Drăghici helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, F.C. Viitorul Iasi's Viorel Drăghici got a free kick in the 68th minute. In the 73rd minute, Ştefan Panait got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. F.C. When George Muja in the 85th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Octav Bosânceanu kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 0-3 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. After having played for 91 minutes, Grigore Măndica managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C. Viitorul Iasi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Grigore Măndica was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Viitorul Iasi's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
