When Gigi Ursulescu came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Sarbestii CSM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gigi Ursulescu couldn't finish the play. In the 14th minute, Aristide Şoimu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th minute Iustinian Negulici suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. After a rather tough play, Sarbestii CSM's Ivan Dumitrana got a free kick in the 20th minute. Sarbestii CSM's Octav Bosânceanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anton Aliuta in the 22nd minute of play. If Marian Pătran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Anton Aliuta came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Tazlaul FC fans jumped to their feet. Anton Aliuta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octav Bosânceanu having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Sarbestii CSM's zone, Anton Aliuta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Octav Bosânceanu came out of the goal and Anton Aliuta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. George Dinculescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Anton Aliuta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Moise Damian might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Octav Bosânceanu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Moise Damian ran back to his position shaking his head. Octav Bosânceanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anton Aliuta in the 41st minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Tazlaul FC's goalkeeper Ilie Costandache had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gigi Ursulescu. 48 minutes into the match, Sarbestii CSM's goal looked a bit too open when Anton Aliuta came free, but Octav Bosânceanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Anton Aliuta made the kick off in the second half. Anton Aliuta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octav Bosânceanu having to interfere. Gigi Ursulescu scored 1-0 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ilie Costandache, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 69 minutes into the match, Tazlaul FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gigi Ursulescu came free, but Ilie Costandache reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute George Dinculescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octav Bosânceanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anton Aliuta kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. A collision led to Tazlaul FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Moise Damian hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Ştefan Panait managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sarbestii CSM's supporters rose to their feet, but Ştefan Panait was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ilie Costandache breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gigi Ursulescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
