Rareș Podgoreanu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Andrei Drumeș could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Rareș Podgoreanu made a huge save. In the 12th minute, Moise Frâncu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Andrei Drumeș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Grigore Coșeriu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sabin Baldovin charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sabin Baldovin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 43 played minutes Stegarii got a freekick which was hit by Corneliu Stolniciu. After recieving a nice pass, FC Rapid Campia Turzii's Eugen Vişan tried to score from far away in the 43rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Rareș Podgoreanu made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Corneliu Ibrișin sent off a good shot on target. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ionică Şerb to strike the kick off in the second half. Rareș Podgoreanu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ionică Şerb's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. After 60 played minutes Stegarii got a freekick which was hit by Corneliu Stolniciu. 61 minutes into the match, FC Rapid Campia Turzii's Eugen Vişan broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When FC Rapid Campia Turzii's Ionică Şerb in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Corneliu Ibrișin's late challenge caught a Stegarii's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Corneliu Ibrișin helped the player get up and apologised. In the 78th match minute, FC Rapid Campia Turzii was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Corneliu Ibrișin to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Liviu Ungur in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Basilio Gilesindo saved FC Rapid Campia Turzii from getting behind. After 80 played minutes FC Rapid Campia Turzii got a freekick which was hit by Corneliu Ibrișin. Basilio Gilesindo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Liviu Ungur, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In the 82nd minute, Sabin Baldovin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Liviu Ungur in the 85th minute of play forced FC Rapid Campia Turzii's goalkeeper Basilio Gilesindo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Basilio Gilesindo managed to avoid a goal in the 87thth minute, when Stegarii's Grigore Coșeriu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 91 minutes into the match, FC Rapid Campia Turzii's goalkeeper Basilio Gilesindo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Grigore Coșeriu. A collision led to Stegarii getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Corneliu Stolniciu hit a great ball. Eugen Vişan was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 96th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FC Rapid Campia Turzii had played much better football throughout.
