Dumitru Văcărescu's late challenge caught a Corsorul's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When Paul Dedu came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Corsorul fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paul Dedu couldn't finish the play. Edgar Cordescu was extremely unlucky when he, in the 96th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Corsorul's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
