Spectators: 7608 (Terracing: 5707, Seating: 1750, VIP seats: 151) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Sebastian Pătrașcu got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd minute, Doru Macovei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 5 minutes of play, Baba's Șerban Mușat made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eduard Pătrașcu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Codruț Roșeanu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dorel Stroie in the 15th minute. In the 18th match minute, Movilele was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Calistrat Chiriac to maneuver through the defense. Marian Buta kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Moise Spoială left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Baba fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 34th minute, Movilele's Sebastian Pătrașcu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Codruț Roșeanu. Codruț Roșeanu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Movilele's Dorel Stroie got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 40 minutes into the match, Șerban Mușat notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Movilele's Eduard Pătrașcu. Eduard Pătrașcu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Calistrat Chiriac had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Șerban Mușat to make the kick off. Franco Nero hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. After having played for 52 minutes, Șerban Mușat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Baba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Șerban Mușat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Petre Şimandan was extremely unlucky when he, in the 54th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Moise Spoială took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Eduard Pătrașcu to make any attempt to save it. Marius Pătrașcu's late challenge caught a Baba's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marius Pătrașcu helped the player get up and apologised. Marius Pătrașcu kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Șerban Mușat managed to get in a good position for a shot. Baba's supporters rose to their feet, but Șerban Mușat was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eduard Pătrașcu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eduard Pătrașcu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Șerban Mușat in the 71st minute of play. In the 76th minute Movilele were awarded a corner. Franco Nero went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Movilele's Franco Nero to fire away a dangerous shot which Codruț Roșeanu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 79 minutes into the game, Baba's Moise Spoială nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eduard Pătrașcu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. After having played for 82 minutes, Moise Spoială managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Baba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Moise Spoială was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Matei Păun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Codruț Roșeanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Baba getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Șerban Mușat hit a great ball. The Movilele manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Baba to win.
